Maintenance Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for a remote opportunity at Swissbit. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production testing equipment. This position involves proactive maintenance, intelligent spare parts management, and detailed documentation to support our innovative solutions in the industrial and IoT sectors.

What You'll Do

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on in-house developed testing technology used in production.
• Analyze fault causes and perform repairs on electronic and mechatronic testing systems.
• Collaborate closely with development and production teams to enhance testing procedures.
• Document maintenance activities and develop strategies for cost optimization and equipment availability.
• Execute assembly, soldering, and machining tasks in the lab and workshop.
• Maintain technical documentation and reports using Excel and Word.
• Support service technicians in the maintenance and repair of purchased machinery from international suppliers.
• Implement modifications and upgrades to existing equipment.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering, e.g., as a mechatronics technician or comparable qualification.
• Professional experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance of industrial systems.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming, e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley.
• Familiarity with frequency converters and servo drives.
• Understanding of Industrial Ethernet, IP addresses, networks, and diagnostic tools.
• Systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in using measurement devices (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• Fluent in German and English.
