Machine Learning Specialist - CAR-NK Cell Therapy

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Machine Learning Specialist to join our team remotely at MD Anderson Cancer Center, a leading hub for innovative cell-based treatments. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in machine learning to develop AI-driven systems that enhance CAR-NK cell therapy.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement deep learning models for multi-modal biological datasets.
• Develop representation learning approaches for NK cell state modeling.
• Build predictive models linking CAR design to functional readouts.
• Integrate various datasets to understand CAR-NK therapy efficacy.
• Establish scalable machine learning pipelines using Python and PyTorch.
• Collaborate with scientists and clinicians to extract insights from complex datasets.
• Contribute to high-impact scientific publications and grant applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• Three years of experience in scientific software development or analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with generative models like VAEs and diffusion models.
• Strong skills in structured or graph-based modeling.

Nice to Have

• Experience with single-cell omics or multimodal biological data.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks and computational biology.
• Research experience in immunotherapy or related fields.
