About the Role
At Kalibri, we are on a mission to redefine the hotel industry, and we are seeking a talented Machine Learning Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This remote position is perfect for passionate individuals who are eager to make a significant impact by leveraging their skills in machine learning and data engineering.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain production data pipelines using tools like Python, Prefect, and Airflow.
- Develop advanced SQL transformations in Snowflake, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity.
- Create and manage dbt models for effective data transformation and tracking across multiple pipeline stages.
- Implement feature engineering pipelines that support machine learning models, including CatBoost and LightGBM.
- Operationalize ML model outputs, integrating predictions into production databases and outputs.
- Work with PySpark for large-scale data processing, ensuring efficient data handling across millions of records.
- Monitor and implement data quality frameworks to maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket for automated testing and deployment.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data pipeline development and automation.
- Deep experience with SQL and cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect or Airflow.
- Proficiency with dbt for SQL-based data transformation.
- Experience with PySpark or similar frameworks for large-scale data processing.
- Excellent collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ML frameworks like CatBoost, LightGBM, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with AWS S3 for cloud data storage and data exchange.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks like Monte Carlo or Great Expectations.
- Background in hospitality or travel industries, with familiarity in metrics such as ADR and RevPAR.
