LLVM Software Engineer (RISC-V and HPC) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an LLVM Software Engineer (RISC-V and HPC) to join our dynamic team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in high-performance computing (HPC) and the RISC-V ecosystem. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and scientific progress.

What You'll Do

• Develop compiler analyses and transformations that enhance LLVM loop transformations, focusing on RISC-V and HPC applications.
• Extend the OpenMP target model for environments with multiple devices.
• Collaborate with upstream LLVM/Clang to contribute features that benefit the LLVM community.
• Implement support for vector operations and loop transformations to optimize HPC applications.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong skills in C++ programming.
• Experience in compiler development and knowledge of LLVM codebases.
• Familiarity with Linux low-level interfaces is a plus.
• Understanding of HPC architectures and systems is advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenMP and parallel programming.
• Interest in RISC-V architecture and its applications in HPC.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
