About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Solution Architect - Data, Analytics & AI to join our dynamic team at Iceberg. This is a pivotal role where you will drive enterprise-wide data, analytics, and AI initiatives within a large, complex financial enterprise environment. As a Lead Solution Architect, you will take ownership of solution design from end-to-end while leading a talented team of architects and engineers. This position is not only strategic but also hands-on, allowing you to influence the future of our data services capability.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale platforms and services that support analytics, AI, reporting, and digital journeys.
  • Oversee modern cloud architectures, real-time data processing, and AI-driven insights.
  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports, setting architectural standards and ensuring alignment with business strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable and secure solutions.
  • Drive initiatives in data modernization, cloud-based data platforms, and legacy-to-cloud migration.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to enhance deployment processes.
  • Implement operational data streaming and event-driven architectures using Kafka/Confluent.
  • Champion the use of cloud analytics platforms such as AWS and Azure, and leverage tools like Databricks and SageMaker.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Solution Architect in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic architecture with hands-on delivery.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms in production environments is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GenAI exposure or roadmap involvement.
  • Knowledge of API-led data services and digital reporting.
  • Expertise in operational data stores and indexing.
