Lead Software Engineer - .NET (FinTech)
About the Role
We’re hiring a Lead Software Engineer - .NET (FinTech) to join a well-backed fintech company in Abu Dhabi. This remote Lead Software Engineer position is ideal for someone who enjoys coding while also guiding a team and influencing technical direction. You will play a key role in building and evolving their core platform.
What You'll Do
- Lead a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on in development.
- Design and build scalable backend systems using .NET.
- Drive best practices across architecture, performance, and security.
- Collaborate closely with product and business teams to align technical goals with business objectives.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and long-term platform strategy.
Requirements
- Strong experience with .NET / C# in production environments.
- Previous experience in a lead or senior capacity.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS / Azure preferred).
- Background in fintech, payments, or financial systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others.
Nice to Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server or MongoDB.
