Lead Software Engineer - .NET (FinTech)

About the Role

We’re hiring a Lead Software Engineer - .NET (FinTech) to join a well-backed fintech company in Abu Dhabi. This remote Lead Software Engineer position is ideal for someone who enjoys coding while also guiding a team and influencing technical direction. You will play a key role in building and evolving their core platform.

What You'll Do

• Lead a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on in development.
• Design and build scalable backend systems using .NET.
• Drive best practices across architecture, performance, and security.
• Collaborate closely with product and business teams to align technical goals with business objectives.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and long-term platform strategy.

Requirements

• Strong experience with .NET / C# in production environments.
• Previous experience in a lead or senior capacity.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS / Azure preferred).
• Background in fintech, payments, or financial systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server or MongoDB.
