About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity with relocation support. This role is with a leading US turnkey energy solutions company that specializes in innovative service and equipment solutions for the energy industry worldwide. As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing technical work on EPC projects within the electrical discipline, collaborating closely with our integrated EPC team and clients to deliver high-quality, world-class solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the scope, budget, and schedule for electrical discipline projects, ensuring effective change management.
  • Provide third-party engineering oversight and lead the electrical team’s development and system integration.
  • Design and review electrical technical designs for projects, serving as the engineer of record.
  • Perform and review complex engineering tasks, utilizing the latest technology and calculation software.
  • Prepare and review load lists, power system studies, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts.
  • Collaborate with the integrated EPC team and clients to manage RFIs, deliverable reviews, and engineering equipment buyouts.
  • Review vendor documents to ensure compliance with specifications and data sheet requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum).
  • EIT or PE license is desired.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in fossil fuels, power generation, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proven experience in creating and interpreting technical drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, API, NEC, and other industry standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering calculations such as load flow, short circuit analysis, and arc flash.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support continuous improvement and quality assurance efforts.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with specifying high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment.
  • Expertise in relay coordination and Arc Flash analysis.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable in a systems-thinking environment.
