L2 & L3 Palo Alto Firewall Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled L2 and L3 Palo Alto Firewall Engineer remote to join our team at TH3RA Consulting. This role is ideal for candidates based in Europe who are eager to contribute to a large-scale international rollout project. As a Palo Alto Firewall Engineer remote, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on enhancing cybersecurity measures across multiple locations.

What You'll Do

• Perform regular log exports (.CSV) and prepare datasets according to internal standards.
• Execute scripts and implement rule changes into Palo Alto firewalls.
• Conduct daily reviews of Learning Rules and apply policy optimizations.
• Remove outdated or unnecessary rules to maintain policy hygiene.
• Ensure compliance and auditability through Tufin.
• Support operations across multiple time zones, ensuring alignment with defined technical standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in Europe and hold EU nationality or equivalent eligibility.
• Proven hands-on experience with Palo Alto (PA Series) and PAN-OS.
• Experience in daily firewall rule maintenance, including review, optimization, and deployment.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to interact with technical and governance stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tufin SecureTrack / SecureChange.
• Knowledge of compliance workflows and audit processes.
• Familiarity with automation in firewall management.
