KYC Specialist - Remote Opportunity at GoCardless

About the Role

We are seeking a KYC Specialist remote to join our dynamic team at GoCardless. As a KYC Specialist, you will play a crucial role in onboarding and verifying new customers while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is part of our international Customer Operations group, where you will be responsible for conducting Customer Due Diligence reviews for existing clients. You will act as a primary escalation point for compliance-related issues, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

What You'll Do

• Review Adverse Media, PEP, and Sanctions screening escalations, providing detailed risk assessments and recommendations.
• Support our Merchants during their onboarding and verification stages.
• Handle internal escalations related to potential fraud and complex cases.
• Collaborate with various teams, including AML Financial Crime and Customer Success, to create a seamless onboarding experience.
• Conduct due diligence checks on new and existing Merchants in accordance with internal and external requirements.

Requirements

• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, to support customers effectively.
• Previous experience in KYC or AML is essential.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with tools like Zendesk or Looker is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in customer service or operations roles.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor.
