Junior Yachting Surveyor - Remote Opportunity

RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Yachting Surveyor to join its office in Viareggio, Italy. What You'll Do
- Conduct routine surveys on classed ships, platforms, or marine structures under the guidance of experienced surveyors.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys, ensuring compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
- Maintain survey files in an organized manner within your area of responsibility.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance your knowledge and skills relevant to surveying practices.
- Collaborate with experienced surveyors to ensure accurate and effective survey outcomes.
- Participate in team activities and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Assist in maintaining the quality of surveying work under the guidance of senior surveyors.
- Engage with clients as directed, contributing to problem-solving within your area of expertise.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in English relevant to classification and statutory certification.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, and statutory regulations.
- Basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations.
- Understanding of engineering plans and the ability to perform new building surveys.
- Knowledge of ships' engineering systems and machinery.
- Familiarity with computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Nice to Have
- Experience in marine surveying or a related field.
- Knowledge of additional languages.
- Previous internships or training in a marine environment.
