Junior Software Tester - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Tester remote to join our QA team. This Junior Software Tester remote position is perfect for someone starting their career in software testing and quality assurance. You will assist in testing applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring software quality.

What You'll Do

• Perform manual testing of web and software applications.
• Create and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and report bugs and defects.
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure proper resolution.
• Participate in functional, regression, and usability testing.
• Maintain test documentation and reports.
• Ensure applications meet quality standards before release.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in Software Testing / QA (or strong academic/project experience).
• Basic understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Knowledge of manual testing concepts.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Basic understanding of web applications and APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of automation testing (Selenium / Cypress).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• ISTQB certification (optional).
