Junior Product Manager - Ethical Consumer Finance

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Product Manager to join Ayan Capital, a pioneering company in ethical consumer finance. As a Junior Product Manager remote, you will play a crucial role in shaping our innovative products aimed at underserved markets. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow with us as we expand our product offerings, including our successful car finance product and new initiatives like credit cards.

What You'll Do

• Support the development and improvement of Ayan’s core products as a Junior Product Manager remote.
• Collaborate with senior product and engineering teams to define, scope, and implement product changes.
• Analyze product performance data to identify friction points, drop-offs, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Assist in running experiments to boost conversion rates, approval rates, and overall customer experience.
• Contribute to the design of customer journeys that enhance user satisfaction.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Underwriting, Compliance, Growth, and Operations teams.
• Support product discovery for new initiatives and help maintain and prioritize the product backlog.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in product management, operations, consulting, analytics, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and structured thinking.
• Comfortable working with data, including basic analysis, funnels, and metrics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Curiosity and a proactive approach to work.
• A relentless bias for action and a motivation to learn about end-to-end product development.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to product management through internships, junior roles, or personal projects.
• Experience with tools like SQL, Metabase, Figma, or similar.
• Understanding of customer journeys or digital products.
• Interest in ethical or Islamic finance.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
