Junior Design and Construction Coordinator - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Design and Construction Coordinator to join our dynamic team at IDnC. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both design and construction while working remotely. As a Junior Design and Construction Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing projects from concept through construction, ensuring that all aspects are executed efficiently and effectively.
What You'll Do
- Develop design concepts and produce detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D presentations.
- Meet with clients to understand project requirements and take accurate as-built measurements.
- Support the RFP/RFI responses, procurement, and installation coordination processes.
- Assist with the city permitting process, including submittals and plan check corrections.
- Coordinate product deliveries, installations, and project logistics.
- Conduct site visits and assist construction teams during project execution.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Manage FF&E procurement and specifications to ensure quality and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Entry-level to 2+ years of professional experience in design or construction.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Required), with skills in SketchUp and Photoshop.
- Basic knowledge of 3D rendering tools (V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion) is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
- Bilingual in Korean & English (Required).
- Experience with city permitting, FF&E procurement/specification, RFP/RFI processes, and installation coordination is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with project management software.
- Interest in sustainable design practices.
- Previous internship experience in a design-build firm.
