Junior Data Analyst Intern - Summer 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team at TD. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the financial services sector while working remotely. As a Junior Data Analyst Intern, you will be involved in various projects that will enhance your skills and contribute to your career growth.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with business and technology partners to define, develop, and document detailed business, data, and system requirements.
• Participate as a member of an agile pod team focused on developing new capabilities, including agile ceremonies.
• Work closely with data engineers, product owners, and quality engineers to deliver end-to-end capabilities from concept to production deployment.
• Conduct data analysis, profiling, clean-up, data wrangling, and validation as part of your assignments.
• Provide recommendations for data remediation and improvements based on your analysis.
• Engage in program/system research, analysis, detailed design, and problem resolution.
• Respond to user inquiries on data platforms in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and determine root causes and resolutions for application defects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant technology program such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology Management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deliver messages and ideas to diverse audiences.
• A thirst for exploring emerging technologies such as Azure, Python, Talend, Tableau, and Informatica.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Proficient in Excel, Visio, SQL, and other reporting and analytical tools.
• Understanding of Data Modeling concepts.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with technology project delivery and agile delivery methodology is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with creating visualizations such as Process and Data Flows.
• Good documentation skills; ability to produce data mapping between Source and Target Systems.
• Hands-on programming experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or SQL.
