IT Service Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Relocation Support

About the Role

We are currently seeking an IT Service Engineer remote to join our team at Idexcel. As an IT Service Engineer remote, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing enterprise server systems at customer sites. What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues with guidance from support teams.
• Execute plans provided by Domain Engineers (L3 support).
• Perform hardware tasks: reseating, swapping, and replacing server components.
• Conduct diagnostics, testing, and validation of servers.
• Upgrade firmware as needed.
• Manage parts inventory (locker & spare parts logistics).
• Document service activities, logs, and reports accurately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree/Certifications preferred).
• 3–6+ years of relevant experience as an IT Service Engineer remote.
• Mandatory: Experience working on server hardware (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, etc.).
• Experience with server builds, swaps, and deployments.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Strong documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with water-cooled servers.
• Ability to follow structured Plans of Action (POA).
• Continuous learning mindset and up-to-date technical knowledge.
