IT Business Systems Team Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an IT Business Systems Team Lead to join our innovative team. This IT Business Systems Team Lead remote position offers the opportunity to design, develop, analyze, and maintain system architectures, including cloud environments that empower groundbreaking discoveries in nuclear energy and advanced technologies.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of developers responsible for supporting enterprise business systems, third-party acquired software, and custom in-house applications.
• Design, develop, analyze, and maintain system architecture, including cloud environments.
• Coordinate the design and integration of complete solutions, including commercial and custom subsystems.
• Maintain knowledge of new and emerging technologies to enhance system architecture.
• Develop specifications for new products and services, and recommend technology improvements.
• Perform system design and programming, ensuring correct database configuration.
• Provide best practices for identity management, access controls, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Offer technical support and modifications to optimize network performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology and 9 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or 15 years of direct relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of computer systems/operations, Oracle database, C++ and C# programming languages.
• Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and programming.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript.
• Applicants must have U.S. citizenship and be subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cybersecurity and information assurance regulations (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX).
• Experience in mentoring junior staff and training members in effective use of standards and tools.
• Knowledge of complex, heterogeneous environments operating Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X/macOS, and Linux systems.
