About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern or thesis student to join our team at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgart. This role focuses on Thermal Systems with Phase Change, providing a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in energy storage and conversion technologies. As an intern, you will work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment where your ideas and research interests can flourish. This internship offers a chance to contribute to sustainable heat supply solutions while working remotely.

What You'll Do

  • Familiarize yourself with latent heat storage and measurement methods.
  • Plan and conduct experimental setups to test thermal systems.
  • Identify analytical indicators for measurement methods.
  • Analyze experimental data and report findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with a team of over 270 experts in energy technology.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamic systems.
  • High initiative and ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
  • Fluent in both German and English (C1 level).
  • Initial experience with experimental measurements is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in energy systems or thermal engineering.
  • Familiarity with data analysis software.
  • Interest in renewable energy technologies.
