As an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our internal developer platform, which is essential for enhancing our software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and ensure smooth integration of software components.
• Utilize GitOps practices with tools like ArgoCD or Flux to manage application deployments effectively.
• Implement observability solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to monitor system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and enhance the developer experience.
• Write and maintain documentation for the IDP and related processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our platform.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of real-time experience as an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio.
• Knowledge of GitOps practices.
• Familiarity with Backstage or similar developer portals.
