Integration Engineer iPaaS /​ Workato - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for an Integration Engineer iPaaS / Workato to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your experience in the iPaaS and low-code environment, ideally with Workato, but experience with tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Make is also valuable. Your understanding of integrations as an engineering discipline is crucial.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, GraphQL, and other relevant technologies.
• Utilize your scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python to create maintainable and understandable code.
• Manage authentication methods like OAuth2 and API Keys, ensuring secure data flows.
• Apply integration patterns such as sync/async, event-driven, and webhooks effectively.
• Maintain high-quality standards in your work, ensuring logging, monitoring, and alerting are part of your integration solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa, facilitating communication between teams.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Handle sensitive data responsibly, adhering to GDPR standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in integration engineering, particularly with iPaaS solutions.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
• Excellent communication skills in both English and German (C1 level or higher).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with data security and compliance standards.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with additional integration tools or platforms.
• Experience in agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure.
