Human Resource Director - Remote Opportunity with Relocation Support

About the Role

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for a Human Resource Director remote position at CommonSpirit Health. In this pivotal role, you will oversee HR operations for Northridge Hospital Medical Center, aligning business objectives with employees and management. As a strategic leader, you will serve as an evidence-based consultant to executive leadership on various HR-related issues, including employee health, labor relations, performance management, and workforce planning.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the HR team and formulate partnerships across the HR team and Centers of Expertise (CoE) to deliver value-added services that reflect the business objectives of CommonSpirit Health.
  • Act as a development coach to operations leaders, overseeing employee engagement and workforce culture strategies.
  • Manage employee relations, training, policy application, and compensation strategies.
  • Support our mission of caring for underserved communities by ensuring equitable HR practices.
  • Direct HR operations with a focus on innovative healthcare delivery and social justice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of HR or leadership experience, or a Master’s Degree with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience with a working knowledge of recruitment, training delivery, and compensation theory.
  • Experience in healthcare and working with union relationships is preferred.
  • Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
  • Strong commitment to health equity and social justice in healthcare.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managing HR operations in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with ADA interactive processes and workforce planning.
