HR Payroll Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Payroll Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for the independent execution of payroll processing for a defined employee group. As an HR Payroll Specialist remote, you will ensure the accuracy and compliance of payroll operations while serving as a key point of contact for employees and management regarding all payroll-related inquiries.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage payroll processing for a defined employee group, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.
• Act as a point of contact for employees and managers on all payroll-related questions and issues.
• Collaborate with social security agencies, tax authorities, and external service providers to ensure compliance.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of standardized payroll processes within our centralized service team.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reporting and analysis using Excel.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or comparable qualification, ideally with further education in payroll processing.
• Solid experience in payroll processing, with familiarity in systems such as Paisy and/or Workday being advantageous.
• Process experience, preferably from a shared service center, large corporation, or corporate group.
• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.
• A structured and meticulous working style with a passion for improving efficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Germany.
• Strong communication skills in both German and English.
