About the Role

We are seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer to join our innovative team at CoVar. What You'll Do

• Develop software and machine learning algorithms to address real-world customer challenges.
• Work with data to develop algorithms, evaluate results, and write production code for deployment in real-world systems.
• Present your findings and work to high-level customers in the Department of Defense (DoD) and other industries.
• Engage in opportunities to publish your work in both classified and unclassified environments.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to enhance our AI/ML tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• Expertise in Python, including libraries like NumPy and pandas, as well as experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals such as gradient descent, cross-validation, ROC curves, and confusion matrices.
• Familiarity with classical machine learning techniques, including support vector machines and logistic regression.
• Experience with computer vision algorithms, particularly object detection networks like YOLO and CenterNet.
• B.S. degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
• Excellent technical communication skills and the ability to work in McLean, VA (relocation assistance available).
• Eligibility for US security clearance (US citizenship required).

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with DoD projects.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
