HR Generalist - Remote Opportunity with Startups
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an HR Generalist remote professional, you will manage the day-to-day HR functions for multiple startup companies across the United States. This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the most exciting high-tech, biotech, and life science startups in the country, providing you with a wide range of experience in the HR field.
What You'll Do
- Support startups in their onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance matters.
- Conduct new hire benefit orientations and ensure processing of all benefits enrollments using various HRIS.
- Act as a resource for clients regarding compliance and policy questions, performing necessary research to provide correct options.
- Maintain accurate and compliant digital files for all clients, conducting file audits as necessary.
- Run background checks for clients and prepare offer letters and legally required notices for every new hire.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, particularly in multi-entity or startup environments.
- Strong knowledge of human resources best practices across various industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas like pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients at all management levels.
- HR certifications (PHR/SPHR) are strongly preferred.
Nice to Have
- A Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience with various online HRIS tools and ERP systems.
- Client service skills with a sense of urgency to meet goals and deadlines.
