HR Generalist - Remote Opportunity in India

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Generalist to join our remote team at Hexa Solutions. This HR Generalist remote position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers in human resources while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. You will lead end-to-end recruitment across India, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

What You'll Do

• Lead the recruitment process by creating job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and managing ATS updates.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing offer letters and coordinating background verification.
• Maintain HRIS and employee records, updating master data and reconciling attendance to support payroll coordination.
• Ensure statutory compliance and record-keeping for India, assisting with PF/ESI filings and labor law adherence.
• Address employee grievances and support manager-employee conversations to enhance employee relations and engagement.
• Support performance management and HR policy execution by tracking appraisals and maintaining HR dashboards.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR executive role, particularly in recruitment and onboarding.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems, along with strong proficiency in MS Excel for reporting.
• Practical knowledge of payroll coordination and statutory compliance in India (PF, ESI, professional tax).
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations and onboarding for remote/distributed teams.
• Excellent record-keeping skills and the ability to manage multiple HR workflows independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Zoho People, BambooHR, or Workday.
• Exposure to HR analytics and dashboards.
• HR certification (SHRM/PHR/CHRP) or formal training in Indian labor law is advantageous.
