Head of ICT Operations - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of ICT Operations to join our dynamic team at Cashlink. This remote position allows you to bridge strategic management and operational excellence, leading our ICT Operations team to ensure digital resilience across our organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the ICT Operations team while actively shaping our digital resilience.
  • Ensure effective and efficient processes according to ITIL v4, particularly in service desk and service request management.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of ICT systems through effective monitoring, incident, and problem management.
  • Manage ICT asset management, including procurement, maintenance, inventory, deployment, and patch management.
  • Coordinate identity and access management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the CISO on risk management and digital operational resilience.
  • Support ICT projects and change management with your expertise.
  • Plan ICT operational costs and manage licensing while creating KPIs for management.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification.
  • Over 5 years of experience in ICT operations or a similar role, with initial leadership experience.
  • Deep knowledge in a cloud-first environment (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and experience in regulated sectors (e.g., finance or healthcare).
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English.
  • Experience in financial regulation (BAIT, DORA, MaRisk) is preferred.
  • Knowledge in information security and experience with AWS Cloud.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
  • Experience with IT audits (e.g., BaFin or auditors).
