Head of HR & Talent Acquisition - Remote for Global FinTech Leader
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic Head of HR & Talent Acquisition to lead the people function for a global leader in financial technology. This remote role is designed for a high-level operator who can navigate the complexities of decentralized finance and modern payments while ensuring the company remains at the cutting edge of European employment standards. You will have the autonomy to build, the budget to execute, and the mandate to define the future of work within a premier FinTech ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute a data-driven recruitment strategy to attract elite talent in Software Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Lead executive headhunting for mission-critical leadership roles (VP/C-level) within the specialized FinTech, Payments, and Web3 sectors.
- Position the company as a "Top Choice" employer within the European tech landscape, managing their presence across platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Web3-native communities.
- Optimize time-to-hire and quality-of-hire, ensuring the recruitment pipeline aligns with an aggressive growth roadmap.
- Own the implementation and reporting for the EU Pay Transparency Directive to ensure full compliance across all European jurisdictions.
- Mitigate risks related to social security, permanent establishment (PE), and local tax for a distributed workforce.
- Partner with the C-suite to design reporting lines and team structures that foster agility as the company scales toward 250+ employees.
- Implement real-time, impact-based performance systems tailored for a high-velocity tech environment.
- Benchmark and design sophisticated total rewards packages, including base, bonus, and modern incentives (Equity, RSUs, or Token-based programs).
- Define and scale the rituals and communication protocols that keep a distributed team connected and high-performing.
- Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing a "people-first" lens on business pivots and market shifts.
- Provide steady leadership and clear communication during the volatile market cycles inherent to the Crypto and FinTech industries.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience specifically within FinTech, Payments, or Web3.
- 8+ years in HR/People Ops, with at least 3 years in a Head of HR or Director-level role within a high-growth scale-up.
- Must be based in Europe with full, unrestricted Right to Work in the EU/EEA or UK.
- Professional mastery of English.
- Deep understanding of European Labor Laws.
- Experience using modern HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., HiBob, Lattice, Greenhouse, Ashby).
- Experience managing international payroll and EOR providers (e.g., Deel, Remote).

- Experience in crisis management and organizational design.
