Head of Group Finance Systems - Remote Tech & ERP Leadership

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Group Finance Systems to lead our finance technology initiatives remotely. This role sets the vision and direction for Awin’s finance systems, ensuring they enable efficient, compliant, and scalable financial operations. As the Head of Group Finance Systems, you will partner with Finance and Technology leadership to define the roadmap, lead delivery, and oversee system health. A key focus will be steering a group-wide initiative to modernize internal and external payment processes.

What You'll Do

• Own the multiyear Group Finance Systems strategy and translate Finance leadership priorities into a clear, sequenced roadmap.
• Balance major programs (e.g., Billing Experience 2.0), continuous improvement, and stability.
• Define and track KPIs/OKRs on delivery, adoption, system performance, and business value.
• Act as a senior point of contact to the CFO, Financial Controlling, and Finance Operations on all finance systems topics.
• Build and lead a high-performing GFS organization with clear accountability across strategy, technical delivery, and operational support.
• Own the GFS budget across software, partners, consultants, and tooling—ensuring spend delivers measurable value.
• Be accountable for the reliability and continuity of finance systems with robust incident governance.
• Oversee compliance and audit readiness, demonstrating control and accountability.

Requirements

• Extensive leadership experience across finance systems, ERP, or enterprise technology in complex, international environments.
• Proven ability to own and deliver a finance systems or ERP roadmap.
• Solid integration background, having overseen end-to-end connections between ERP platforms and adjacent systems.
• Experienced people leader capable of building high-performing and resilient teams.
• Commercially confident, with substantial experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with ERP platforms (ideally D365 F&O or equivalent).
• Understanding of integration and cloud concepts (APIs, Azure, middleware).
• Experience using program and backlog tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
