Head Chef - Remote Pizza Expert

About the Role

Yard Sale Pizza is on the lookout for an experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic team. This Head Chef remote position offers the opportunity to lead a passionate group of chefs while ensuring the highest quality of pizza making. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation as one of London’s favorite pizza spots.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of pizza quality.
• Train and develop your team, providing regular feedback and appraisals to enhance their skills.
• Maintain 5-star food hygiene standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage stock ordering and rotation, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Collaborate with the Kitchen Operations Manager and General Manager to achieve business goals.
• Implement effective kitchen practices to meet portioning figures and GP targets.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role, with a strong background in pizza making.
• Masterclass skills in Neapolitan-style pizza, including dough preparation and stone-based baking.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire and motivate your team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and risk assessments in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Passion for pizza and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
