Developer Advocate - Remote Position at Browserless

$70K–$90K/year

About the Role

We're hiring a Developer Advocate to join our team at Browserless, a leader in web automation. This remote Developer Advocate position is crucial for enhancing the developer experience from the moment they read our documentation to deploying their first automation in production. As a part of a small, globally distributed team, you'll have the opportunity to shape our API documentation and create engaging tutorials, guides, and videos that empower developers.

What You'll Do

  • Own the API documentation end-to-end: audit, improve, and maintain existing API reference documentation.
  • Write clear, accurate, and copy-paste-ready code examples in JavaScript/TypeScript and other languages as needed.
  • Create architecture diagrams and visual explanations for complex concepts to enhance understanding.
  • Develop video tutorials, walkthroughs, and product demos to help developers transition from confusion to production-ready solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to identify common friction points and turn them into better documentation and content.
  • Build relationships with integration partners and create co-marketing content to expand our ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in writing excellent technical documentation that is clear and developer-friendly.
  • Ability to create technical video content and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Comfortable reading and writing code in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Track record of producing consistent technical content, including documentation, tutorials, and videos.
  • Self-directed and capable of prioritizing work in a small team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with developer tools, API-first products, or web automation tooling (Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium).
  • Familiarity with AI agents and their use of browser automation.
  • Video editing skills beyond basic screen recording.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work environment — work from anywhere.
  • Asynchronous-first culture that values written communication and deep work.
  • Flexible working hours with core overlap hours from 8am–11am PST, Monday through Thursday.
