HANC Legacy Project Manager I - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a HANC Legacy Project Manager I to join our team at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. This remote position will allow you to support community engagement activities in the NIH-funded HIV Clinical Trials Networks. Your role will be crucial in fostering scientific integrity and trust within the HIV research community while enhancing public awareness and support for HIV research.

What You'll Do

• Organize, facilitate, and manage projects, ensuring progress on work plans for several Legacy Project working groups.
• Support educational efforts to increase community literacy regarding HIV prevention, treatment, and research through various means including presentations and workshops.
• Engage community constituents in dialogue to understand their needs and build trust and support for HIV research.
• Provide advice and feedback on community engagement to protocol teams and research sites as needed.
• Offer technical assistance and community engagement training for HIV research staff and community-based organizations.
• Develop integrated communications strategies that promote domestic HIV clinical research efforts.
• Conceive and initiate novel projects to address challenges in HIV research and community engagement.
• Support HANC and Legacy Project colleagues as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of three years post-master's or five years post-bachelor's related project/study management experience in a research setting.
• Strong supervisory skills and budgeting experience.
• Experience with data analysis and coordination of academic literature.
• Familiarity with MS SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager, and other related programs.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in health sciences, public health, or social sciences preferred.
• Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
• Social media management experience.
• Meeting and event planning experience.
