About the Role
We are seeking a Group Lead Welding Technology to join our team remotely. In this role, you will lead the welding technology department, overseeing welding planning and supervision while ensuring high-quality standards in our operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead the welding technology department, managing tasks related to qualification of welding procedures and welder qualifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments on welding-related issues.
- Actively participate in welding improvement projects, focusing on mechanization and automation solutions.
- Analyze welding error statistics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and coordinate training programs for welding personnel.
- Engage in expert committees and standardization bodies related to welding technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with additional training as a Welding Engineer.
- Several years of experience in welding technology, preferably in pressure vessel construction.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes for aluminum and stainless steel materials.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations for pressure vessels and pipelines (especially ASME and EN standards).
- Excellent analytical skills and a systematic approach to work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in MS Office and fluent in English.
