Lead Analyst, Quality Assurance - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Analyst, Quality Assurance to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of our mobile commerce applications. As a Lead Analyst, you will bridge the gap between quality assurance and business analysis, managing test execution while leading requirements gathering and defining acceptance criteria. Your expertise will help shape QA processes for new features and client launches, ensuring high standards of quality without impeding delivery timelines.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute comprehensive QA testing across mobile commerce applications, including end-to-end, smoke, sanity, regression, and user acceptance testing cycles.
• Create, update, and maintain test cases and test suites in TestRail, linking test activities to JIRA tickets and tracking defects through resolution.
• Triaging and reporting defects with clear documentation, providing structured handoff summaries to project managers and engineering teams.
• Manage client-specific QA processes, including device coverage planning, order cancellation testing, and production testing documentation.
• Monitor crash reports via Sentry weekly, proactively identifying and flagging issues.
• Lead requirements gathering sessions for new features and client launches, collaborating directly with project managers and stakeholders.
• Write clear, testable acceptance criteria for development tickets and review them with engineering teams before development begins.
• Support and mentor a junior QA analyst, providing guidance, task assignment, and performance feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of QA testing experience in a mobile application development environment.
• Hands-on experience creating, executing, and triaging test cases for iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong business analysis skills, including writing acceptance criteria and user stories.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly for mobile projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development processes.
• Experience managing QA across multiple projects or client accounts.
• Proficiency with JIRA and test management tools such as TestRail or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in mobile commerce or React Native environments.
• Familiarity with Tempo for capacity planning and Sentry for crash monitoring.
• Leadership experience in mentoring junior QA team members.
