About the Role

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer for YouTube Thumbnails to join our dynamic team remotely. This role is pivotal in developing captivating and click-worthy video thumbnails that entice our audience to engage with our YouTube videos. As a Graphic Designer, you will combine your creative vision with a deep understanding of YouTube trends and audience psychology to drive higher click-through rates and audience retention.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with our content team to brainstorm and develop compelling thumbnail concepts that align with the technical and educational content of our YouTube videos.
• Create eye-catching thumbnails that effectively communicate the content, value, and intrigue of the video using image design software such as Adobe Photoshop.
• Design and produce high-quality 2D and 3D animated segments, illustrating complex scientific or technical topics while ensuring visual and factual accuracy.
• Continuously research and analyze YouTube trends, audience preferences, and competitor thumbnails to optimize our thumbnail strategy.
• Work closely with the content team to ensure that thumbnails align with the educational messages of our videos.

Requirements

• Proven experience in graphic design and 2D/3D animations, particularly in creating YouTube thumbnails or similar digital media.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and After Effects.
• A strong understanding of YouTube data, trends, and best practices for thumbnail design within the science and learning niche.
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative thumbnail concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SEO principles as they relate to YouTube thumbnails is a plus.
