General Manager - Healthcare Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a General Manager to lead our Spire Perth Clinic in Edinburgh, Scotland. This General Manager remote position offers an exciting opportunity to manage clinic operations, ensuring the delivery of outstanding personalized care for patients. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the clinic's strategy, operations, and team management.

What You'll Do

• Act as Registered Manager for the clinic, ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Oversee the delivery of an excellent holistic patient experience aligned with the Spire Healthcare brand.
• Develop a three-year strategic plan and annual operating plan in line with Spire's overall business strategy.
• Drive profitable growth for the clinic by identifying and capitalizing on commercial opportunities.
• Build and lead a high-performing team committed to Spire's purpose and vision.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including regulators, consultants, the NHS, and patients.
• Promote diversity and inclusion within the clinic to foster a positive culture.
• Raise the clinic's profile in the local community to support financial goals and community engagement.

Requirements

• Experience in a regulated healthcare environment, suitable for those seeking their first senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing successful multi-disciplined teams and driving high performance.
• Understanding of the health regulatory environment and full P&L accountability.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience in outpatient and day case treatments.
• Knowledge of the healthcare market in Scotland.
• Prior experience in a General Manager role within a healthcare setting.
