Geek Squad Agent - Retail Technology Support

About the Role

As a Geek Squad Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for people seeking technology support, knowledge, and solutions for computers and other devices at our local Best Buy store. This Geek Squad Agent remote role is perfect for tech enthusiasts who enjoy helping others and solving problems. You will receive the training and resources you need to assess customers’ needs, perform basic services, and partner with other agents on more complex repairs.

What You'll Do

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking detailed notes, and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Passion for technology and a desire to solve problems.
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in technology support roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with a variety of electronic devices and troubleshooting techniques.
