Full Stack Java Developer - Model Risk Management

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Java Developer to join our Model Risk Management team. This is a contract opportunity that must be worked on a W2 basis. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. As a Full Stack Java Developer remote, you will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise-level governance and oversight of financial models.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and support a Java-based full stack application.
• Contribute to complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges across application layers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date system functionality.
• Support governance and documentation workflows tied to the model lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in design, development, testing, and production support activities.
• Work within a controlled, regulated environment requiring strong system reliability and transparency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong experience in Java-based application development.
• Experience supporting full stack applications (frontend and backend).
• Ability to analyze complex, large-scale technical challenges.
• Experience working in environments with compliance, policies, and governance requirements.
• Familiarity with financial or risk-related concepts is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Financial services domain experience, particularly in risk management and model governance.
• Experience in regulatory or controlled environments.
