Flight Software Platform Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Flight Software Platform Engineer to join our team at Anduril Industries, a leading defense technology company. This remote Flight Software Platform Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that transforms military capabilities. As a member of our Flight Software team, you will develop flight computer vehicle software for airborne and subsea vehicles, contributing to the future of defense technology.

What You'll Do

• Enable order-of-magnitude increases in developer productivity through reusable software.
• Push the boundaries of scalable embedded software development.
• Build the "taco bell" of safety-critical flight software.
• Create packaging and distribution infrastructure at scale.
• Develop abstraction layers for integrated vehicle control systems.
• Create reusable Hardware In The Loop (HITL) and Software In The Loop (SITL) infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience scaling product development from a small company to a large company.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Experience with software packaging and distribution systems (Nix, Bazel, etc.).
• Background in embedded software architecture, design, and development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience with DO-178 standards or similar certifications.
