FinOps Platform Engineer (AWS) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented FinOps Platform Engineer (AWS) remote to join our dynamic team at Swisscom. As a FinOps specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing costs across our extensive AWS infrastructure, which includes over 1500 accounts. Your expertise in cloud computing and passion for FinOps will help us enhance our Internal Cloud Platform and provide a secure, compliant self-service environment for our DevOps teams.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with a geographically distributed team, engaging with DevOps engineers and product owners to implement platform-level capabilities for AWS.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage and optimize AWS resources effectively.
• Focus on cost optimization strategies, leveraging tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Anomaly Detection.
• Work with FinOps-related AWS services, including AWS Organizations and Billing Management.
• Contribute to the development of a well-architected AWS Landing Zone, ensuring it meets compliance and security standards.

Requirements

• More than 4 years of experience working with AWS and FinOps principles.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop quick solutions for complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with a high level of English proficiency.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Certifications in AWS or related technologies.
