Financial Crimes Analyst - Remote Position at Crypto.com

About the Role

We are looking for a Financial Crimes Analyst - Remote to join our dynamic team at Crypto.com. In this role, you will oversee and conduct quality reviews of complex, high-risk investigative casework involving various financial crime typologies. As a Financial Crimes Analyst, you will assess and evaluate high-risk Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with local and international compliance standards.

What You'll Do

  • Provide oversight and quality review of complex, high-risk investigative casework.
  • Analyze and evaluate high-risk STRs and SARs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of sanctions-related investigations and manage the escalation process.
  • Analyze risk profiles of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and assess associated financial crime risks.
  • Maintain knowledge of local AML/CFT regulations and best practices.
  • Assist in drafting and implementing internal procedures for escalation processes.
  • Act as a point of contact with compliance teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Exercise sound judgment in navigating complex cases, ensuring well-reasoned decisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in an AML/CFT role within a regulated financial institution.
  • Experience in virtual financial assets (cryptocurrency) is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of AML/CFT regulations within the fintech industry.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting financial crime investigations and writing narratives.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing numeric data using Excel or similar tools.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics and monitoring tools is preferred.
  • CAMS certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience filing external suspicious reports through the FIAU GoAml Portal.
  • Knowledge of digital assets and fintech products.
