About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Systems Product Owner - SAP Remote to join our dynamic team at The Open University. This is a unique opportunity to lead and innovate within the Finance and Business Services division, focusing on enhancing our SAP Finance systems. As a key player in our Financial Accounting and Systems Support team, you will help shape the future of finance systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage a dedicated team responsible for finance systems, ensuring stability and continuous improvement.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for SAP Finance systems, aligning solutions with business needs.
  • Utilize agile scrum methodology to develop user stories and manage the product backlog effectively.
  • Collaborate with Digital Services to make informed decisions on architecture and tooling, especially concerning SAP S/4HANA.
  • Drive standardization of processes and reduce reliance on bespoke solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, particularly in SAP S/4HANA and related finance processes.
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of SAP BW and SAP BPC.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across various levels.
  • Experience in delivering system enhancements and transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within the Higher Education or Public Sector.
  • Understanding of SAP cloud strategy and finance process standardization.
