Finance Manager - Remote Role in Crypto

About the Role

At Douro Labs, we are seeking a Finance Manager - Remote to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Finance as we build out our processes, systems, and controls within a rapidly scaling finance department. As a Finance Manager, you will blend traditional finance with crypto-native treasury management, ensuring that our globally distributed team operates smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Bring all accounting and financial reporting in-house from external providers.
• Own the month-end close, management accounts, and financial reporting in a timely manner.
• Manage and develop all systems and processes around AP, AR, month-end, year-end financial reporting, management accounts, tax, etc.
• Design and implement robust accounting processes, controls, policies, and work papers.
• Select, implement, and optimize finance systems and tools that will scale with the business.
• Coordinate with external providers on tax compliance, audits, and regulatory obligations across jurisdictions.
• Develop a deep understanding of crypto accounting standards to provide the management team with actionable insights.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting and reporting background.
• Experience with US GAAP accounting is a plus.
• Experience managing the ERP system end-to-end (QuickBooks is a plus).
• Experience in a scale-up, FinTech, SaaS, or high-growth environment preferred.
• Comfortable being hands-on while also thinking strategically.
• Proactive, commercially minded, and confident working closely with founders and senior stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with digital asset accounting.
• Experience in optimizing transfer pricing and multi-jurisdiction accounting.
