Field Service Technician - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team at Optel Group. This role offers exciting opportunities for remote work while contributing to innovative tracking solutions that enhance sustainability across various industries. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our systems, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service and support.

What You'll Do

• Set up industrial PCs and configure printers, scanners, and camera systems to meet client specifications.
• Configure HMI and PLC software for optimal system performance.
• Install and commission Track and Trace systems both in-house and at partner sites, as well as directly with end customers.
• Conduct system tests to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Provide customer support and conduct training sessions to ensure clients are well-equipped to use our technology.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on-site to uphold system integrity.
• Travel domestically and internationally (up to 85%) to support client needs.

Requirements

• Completed training as a mechatronics technician, IT systems electronics technician, electrical engineer, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in commissioning complex mechatronic systems and reading circuit diagrams.
• Proficient in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry and international exposure is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor with clients.
• Willingness to travel for work, both domestically and internationally.
