Field Service Engineer - Remote Position at Atlas Copco

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team at Atlas Copco. This Field Service Engineer remote position will allow you to support our tooling and joining solutions technologies across various industry sectors in the UK. You will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and support.

What You'll Do

• Perform pre-delivery testing and inspection of tools before delivery and site installation.
• Install and commission new tooling, automation cells, and industrial assembly solutions at customer locations.
• Provide support and assistance for project delivery, collaborating closely with Project Managers.
• Integrate and configure customer PLC interfaces to Atlas Copco tools, ensuring seamless operation.
• Conduct testing, validation, and problem resolution, including root cause analysis.
• Deliver customer training and operational guidance, ensuring they are well-equipped to use our products.
• Support customer staff during pilot phases, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems.
• Undertake preventative maintenance on all power tool products and software solutions.
• Manage calibration, testing, and certification of all Atlas Copco power tool products.
• Identify and deliver sales opportunities for field service, collaborating with Service Sales Managers.

Requirements

• A HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of industrial power tools, including Pneumatic, Battery, and DC systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing or customer service environment.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and PLCs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and stay overnight as required.
