What You'll Do

• Monitor real-time security alerts and logs from SIEM, EDR, and advanced security orchestration tools to identify anomalies.
• Investigate and triage basic security incidents, escalating complex threats to senior technical analysts.
• Perform regular vulnerability scanning and track remediation efforts to strengthen the infrastructure against attacks.
• Support the configuration and review of firewalls, endpoint security, and access control policies (IAM).
• Assist in implementing security frameworks to ensure robust protection across Windows and Linux environments.

Requirements

• A foundational understanding of networking fundamentals, specifically TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall logic.
• Familiarity with common cyber threats, attack vectors, and basic security principles of the CIA triad.
• A problem-solving mindset with a passion for deconstructing technical issues and attention to detail.
• Exposure to operating systems like Windows and Linux, and an interest in learning SIEM tools or vulnerability scanners.
• Strong communication skills and a massive appetite for professional development and technical certifications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with penetration testing or ethical hacking.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks.
• Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH).
