Engineering Manager - Remote Role in Crypto Revolution

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join Bitso, a leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America. This Engineering Manager role offers the opportunity to work remotely while driving revolutionary changes in the crypto ecosystem. You will manage engineers and other leads, helping them grow while building scalable, secure, and high-quality products with our users at the center.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage engineering teams, ensuring high productivity and technical excellence.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support your teams in complex situations.
• Oversee and empower engineering teams, ensuring a strong culture of collaboration.
• Foster a high-performance engineering culture by driving best practices in software development and security.
• Contribute to hiring and retaining top engineering talent globally.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Deep understanding of the Java ecosystem and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience building large-scale user-facing products.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of observability and monitoring tools like Datadog.
