About the Role

Checkly is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time Engineering Manager position that allows you to work remotely from Europe. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers, driving the development and maintenance of our infrastructure solutions. What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and implement best practices for infrastructure management and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet project timelines and objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related fields.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in infrastructure management.
