Employee Relations Specialist - Remote Role
About the Role
We're hiring an Employee Relations Specialist to join our innovative team at Remote. This remote role offers the opportunity to navigate global employment challenges with unmatched expertise and precision. As a vital part of our Lifecycle team, you will help shape the future of work by ensuring compliance and enhancing customer experiences across 80+ countries.
What You'll Do
- Manage and resolve end-to-end employee exits across various international jurisdictions, prioritizing a superior offboarding experience for clients and their employees.
- Provide sound guidance on HR matters, including termination, resignation, and transfer procedures, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
- Lead meetings with clients and external employees, facilitating workforce reduction consultations and negotiations in separations and settlements.
- Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations while balancing multiple stakeholders' interests.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance in offboarding activities and audits.
- Draft and administer termination documents accurately, maintaining strict adherence to privacy regulations.
- Process offboarding on Remote’s internal HRIS platform, collaborating with various internal teams to ensure timely administration of employee exits.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, responding to queries on offboarding matters and navigating clients through Remote’s Employee Relations resources.
Requirements
- Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with competencies across the employee lifecycle.
- Proven background in managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care and legal compliance.
- Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead difficult conversations professionally.
- Business-level proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Aptitude for innovation and process optimization, continuously identifying opportunities for automation.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to collaborate asynchronously on various tools.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote environment.

- Familiarity with employee relations principles and workplace investigation fundamentals.
- Proven track record of improving HR processes and enhancing employee experiences.
