Embedded Software Developer - Automotive Remote

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join our team at smartmicro, a leader in high-performance automotive and traffic radar sensor technology. This Embedded Software Developer remote position offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions for autonomous driving and smart cities.

What You'll Do

• Develop embedded software primarily in C, with some work in C++ and Python.
• Design and implement application software for automotive, industrial, and defense radar sensors.
• Integrate software modules from various teams and create software interfaces.
• Conduct unit and integration testing using tools like GoogleTest and PyTest.
• Contribute to the software development process, including feature ticket creation, analysis, implementation, and testing.
• Engage with customers regarding requirements, testing, and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in embedded software development, particularly in C.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and basic knowledge of Python.
• Familiarity with systems such as JIRA, Redmine, and GIT.
• Knowledge of Linux is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a hands-on mentality.
• Good to very good English language skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in automotive or defense sectors.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
