Director of Project Management - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Project Management - Remote to join our innovative team at Nevados, a leading solar tracker company. In this role, you will lead and scale the Project Management function, ensuring successful project execution from contract award through commissioning and ongoing operations. As a remote team member, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to our mission of transforming utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) deployment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor the Project Management organization, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Establish project governance frameworks and best practices to ensure effective project execution.
• Oversee project execution from contract award to operational handoff, ensuring timely delivery.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality to meet organizational goals.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Sales, and Finance teams.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for customers, ensuring their needs are met.
• Ensure consistent communication and reporting with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
• Coordinate closely with Construction and Field teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor performance dashboards for underperforming sites and take corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related field.
• 10 years of Project Management and Construction Management experience, with a focus on large PV projects.
• Experience with solar tracker systems and EPC or construction environments.
• OSHA30 certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in renewable energy projects beyond solar.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Certifications such as PMP or equivalent.
