Software Development Engineer in Test - Remote

Join Fundraise Up as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and contribute to transforming the nonprofit sector through innovative technology. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while focusing on building quality infrastructure and tooling for our engineering organization. As a key member of our team, you will enhance our testing capabilities and ensure the highest quality of our software solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure for testing to streamline our development processes.
• Conduct R&D and proof-of-concept work to explore new testing methodologies.
• Build test frameworks and pipelines that support our software development lifecycle.
• Perform quality analytics to identify areas for improvement in our products.
• Collaborate closely with product and QA teams to ensure alignment on quality standards.
• Utilize your strong developer background to create production-ready tooling.
• Implement best practices in CI/CD to enhance our deployment processes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members in test automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation and quality tooling development.
• Strong developer background with proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript at a Middle+ level.
• Understanding of backend architecture using NestJS.
• Experience in building E2E frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Jest / Mocha and tools like Playwright / Puppeteer.
• Familiarity with Docker and Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Ability to build production-ready tooling and solve complex problems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the nonprofit sector or with fundraising technologies.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages.
• Familiarity with cloud services and microservices architecture.
